Our Teddy Roosevelt Story

Picture
We used to raise another breed, but decided it was time for a change  We wanted a smaller breed that could do well inside or outside, free from major health issues, and with good temperaments.  Two other requirements is that we didn't want a "yapper" (constant barking) or a "snapper" (we have small Grandchildren).  Someone suggested we consider Rat Terriers.  Since we really didn't know anything about Rat Terriers, we began to investigate the breed and discovered the Teddy Roosevelt Terriers.  I contacted a couple of Teddy breeders and after talking with them, I was convinced that we should raise Teddy Roosevelts, and we had never even seen one!  Bella was our first Teddy and we immediately wanted another one.  Our dogs are our pets and we only raise a few litters each year.  The pups are born and raised in our home.  Our desire is to raise healthy and happy pups and place them in homes where they will be loved and well cared for.

All of our dogs are registered with the United Kennel Club (UKC) and the Foundation Stock Service of the American Kennel Club (AKC-FSS).  Registration papers to both clubs are provided with each puppy sold.

Primary Lens Luxation (PLL) and Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) are two generic diseases that could affect our breed.  All of our breeding dogs have been tested and have been found clear of both of these diseases.  That means that their puppies are clear by parentage.  Health certificates on the parents are provided with each puppy sold.
